“It’s important to remember that your ego—your separate personal self-sense and all its culturally conditioned tendencies—is just not awake to the urgent need for your participation in the evolutionary process. That’s why your ego is convinced that it has all the time in the world to be eternally busy with its own self-improvement. It says, “Well, I’m not ready because I’m not perfect yet.” But that’s just the ego’s perennial excuse to avoid the overwhelming urgency of the evolutionary context of being alive. Did you ever meet anybody who was actually perfect? I don’t think perfection exists within manifestation. If you want to experience perfection—inherent perfection; unborn, uncreated perfection—meditate. As you gain the capacity to transcend a conditioned relationship to thought, memory, and time, you will eventually awaken to the timeless, formless, infinite ground of your own being and you’ll experience that which is perfect. But when we reenter the manifest realm of time, space, and form, we leave perfection behind, in order to create ourselves anew through the evolutionary process. And perfection will never be reached here.
A great email from Paul Lowe to his mailing list today:
I have often been asked this question. Some Tibetans have a method. You sit in a small cell, with eyes half closed, for eighteen hours a day, until you die. Then after you are reborn, the Lama comes and finds you, and you do the same thing again, for life after life, until you wake up. Not a very efficient method is it – and you miss all the fun that planet earth has to offer. Read more »
Great reminder on Paul’s list today.
Today’s email from Paul Lowe touched me once again very deeply. It rings so true for me.
We are all transmitting/radiating all the time – through our actions, words, and thoughts.
It is not easy to grasp is it – that all our thoughts are interconnected – throughout the universes. And not only in our personal lives, but collectively we are creating what we call reality – on every level. Once you fully connect with how much your every thought creates your reality, please believe me, you become very much more aware of your every thought. Every single one you can catch. Read more »

… I am writing this as much to myself as to you, trying to put words to my experience, what this past week has been all about. I can’t label the retreat, it doesn’t have a technique or an orientation, but if I were to put some words onto it I would say a little bit of meditation, a lot of speaking and living your truth, about tuning in to the group collective, about feeling energy, about realizations and observations popping faster than you can speak them, and about tuning into something else by being present, from every moment to the next, with awareness, you can see, and avoid, conditioning, patterns, and come into something bigger. As Paul said, it is up to you now. Read more »
A great reminder from Paul Lowe to his list today.
I am often asked “what are you trying to do with the readers of your mailing list.”
Reply: I am not ‘trying’ to ‘do’ anything. I hear or read something, or sitting quietly doing almost nothing, and something ‘pops up’ to share. Here is one that popped up in the bath this morning: Read more »

Excerpt from an email from Paul Lowe to his list today.
A Sufi saying: “Life is a bridge – don’t try and build a house on it.”
So look at this possibility: Life is to be lived. Lived!!!
Not to be observed, studied, understood, but Lived. If you have done anything before, it is old. This dimension is so vast there is no need to keep doing the same thing, in the same place, in the same way, with the same people. Really: “Take no thought of the morrow” – live.
Looking at what’s been happening in the world the past weeks I came to see once again the insignificance and yet the preciousness of a single life, including mine.
It’s such an easy thing to feel touched by what I read in the newspapers, then make a donation, write a few emails to friends encouraging them to do so too, and yet turn away without really taking it in – all the way.
I have spent hours watching, reading and researching about the Haiti earthquake. Then, I came across this article from Katie Couric “The Human Face of Haitian Tragedy” on the Huffington Post. Read more »
