Jeff Foster talks about the unspeakable

by Mike Larcombe

Listening to Jeff helps me remove my concepts, including my spiritual concepts. In his presence I realise, that whatever I think is not true. The way Jeff is and lives his life feels very natural to me. I find him to be an example for “not doing” but allowing life to unfold. In February I am organising two events with Jeff. Come and join me!

Tomorrow & Wednesday: Bruce Frantzis teaches Taoist Meditation

“Be still like a mountain and flow like a great river.”~Lao Tse

Taoist Meditation: Relaxing into Your Being with Bruce Frantzis

Like water wears away rock, the Water Method of Taoist meditation gradually wears away blockages and patterns, expanding the awareness of our gross physical and subtle energy bodies. We get to experience and see ourselves more clearly, and balance and harmonise how we relate to ourselves, others and the universe.

A vibrant talker and exceptional teacher, Taoist Lineage holder Bruce Frantzis will introduce and guide us through the Water Method of Taoist meditation. Over the course of two evenings we will learn to locate, recognise and release physical and energetic conflicts in our system, gradually opening up the energy gates of our body and connecting deeper with the core of our being. The practice of letting go helps us to take responsibility for ourselves and our interactions with the world so we can fully unfold as a relaxed, open, spontaneous and mature human being.  Read more »

The Joy of Breath

by Clare Finlator

Often it is the simplest and most obvious things that can make the biggest difference to life, but which are often overlooked or ignored. Good breathing is one such thing. It always sounded like a good thing to do, but until my recent 3-week training in Taoist Longevity Breathing, I had no idea how powerfully transformative it can be.

Of course I have been breathing since I was born, and although I probably breathed well as a baby, somewhere along the way I forgot how, or more accurately, my body became more closed and tense, and I became more disconnected from it. Read more »

Lies, anger, hurt and heart opening

Over the past days I’ve been on quite a journey. I’m endlessly grateful for and deeply humbled by my experiences. I touched upon something very deep in my core, and got to see and feel the addiction and identification with it, the attachment to this story, the power of thoughts and beliefs, the roots of war. It’s humbling and amazing to learn once again how deep and far some triggers can go. It feels like I can suddenly see my life story! What a blessing and relief to see.

Deep down I totally believed that “I was lied to”. A powerful source that fuelled behaviour as a victim, and reacting righteously angry in hurt and defence. Although this is certainly not all I am, I came to see this deep underlying survival pattern that has been driving most of my actions and thinking in subtle and sometimes quite obvious ways. Neurobiology of We

This is a fantastic series of lectures by the psychiatrist Daniel Siegel MD given at the Upaya Zen Center. He is explaining brain function. This in-depth look is interspersed with meditation sessions and contemplation exercises that compliment all the information:
Neurobiology of We »

I am utterly fascinated learning about the brain. The healthy functioning of this organ determines our experience of life and our experience of life has an effect on the functioning of the brain. But the most mind-blowing, mysterious and mystical question is where is the self that ultimately receives the information the brain interprets from the outside world. Read more »

A world of possibilities

“The only conductor to ever lead the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, Zander is a prophet of human potential and an unrivaled champion of joie de vivre. Watch as he helps unlock the boundless potential of a 15 year old cellist and teaches the entire audience what it means to live in a world of possibility.”

I love this inspiring talk. Zander is radiating and alive, simply wonderful! Just finished watching it with my 13 year old son who is learning to play the bass guitar. He was touched, and I watched him swinging with the music.

Alan Wallace

I have recently discovered a large amount of material from Alan Wallace. An extensive background in science and religion, what I appreciate about him and his message is his clarity, his effortless ability to discuss complex topics like the nature of external reality, physics, quantum mechanics and the nature of internal reality, consciousness, mind, subjectivity.
